Biomedical Enterprise Program (BEP)

Overview

The Biomedical Enterprise Program (BEP) is jointly administered by theHarvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST) and theMIT Sloan School of Management. The program exposes students to an integrated curriculum focused on the complex process of product development and commercialization in the health care industry. BEP rigorously prepares tomorrow's entrepreneurs and managers to transform scientific discovery into patient-oriented, commercially successful products and services. Graduates go on to become entrepreneurial leaders trained to identify and manage scientific and clinical research and financial opportunities that build successful innovative biomedical businesses.

BEP offers three tracks:

· The Dual-degree, Sloan MBA Program and HST-Master of Science track targets aspiring biomedical business leaders. This three year course of study offers deep immersion in the fundamentals of management and biomedical science and an extended opportunity to build depth or breadth through elective subjects. This integrated dual-degree track leads to a MBA or SM degree in management from MIT Sloan and a SM degree in Health Sciences and Technology from HST. Students are enrolled concurrently in both MIT Sloan and HST.
